About TAC

 The TAC Convention of Narcotics Anonymous was conceived to promote Unity between rural areas in the Northern California Region of NA and to carry the message of recovery to the addict who still suffers.  Originally, three Areas came together to sponsor the first "Tri-Area Convention".  As more members became excited at the prospect of a convention that appealed to the rural nature of the north state, more Area service bodies joined the convention committee. This necessitated the name change from the "Tri-Area Convention" to the current, "These Areas' Convention," or simply "TAC". We now have eight areas involved and what started as a small convention has continued to grow beyond our imagination. 

The convention itself rotates between the various areas on a yearly basis, providing access to members who may not have the opportunity to experience an NA convention.
